Building

Harper Tech Lab is live and past the foundation stage — SEO, search, syntax highlighting, OG images, RSS, the works. Current focus is on making it actually useful to people, not just a portfolio placeholder.

That means building out the tools pagewith things developers actually bookmark: a token counter for LLM context windows, an AI prompt builder, a .env file generator. Eighteen tools so far. Adding more when there's a genuine gap.

Next GitHub repos in the pipeline: git-commit-ai (auto-generate commit messages from diffs using Claude), webpage-to-json (structured data extraction), and pdf-qa (question-answering over PDFs with Voyage embeddings). All built with the Anthropic API, no LangChain.

Writing

Doing the 100 Days of Blogging challenge — one post every day from 17th May to 24th August 2026. No skipped days, no catching up. Topics rotate through AI and LLMs, Python, web development, and career. Day 2 today.

The aim isn't to publish 100 polished tutorials. It's to build a writing habit and a body of work. Some posts will be long and technical. Some will be 400 words on a single idea. The constraint is one per day, not a word count.

Day job

Software Engineer at CGI in Liverpool. Enterprise-scale projects, working across the stack. The side projects keep the interesting problem-solving alive between tickets.

Outside work

Following Liverpool FC as religiously as ever. Logging too many hours in Rocket League. Occasionally touching grass.
